The most recent National Association of Realtor Report (reporting period of April 2020, to March 2021) indicated that International Buyers purchased 154,000 U.S. homes, a sizable decrease from 284,500 homes purchased in 2017. The total dollar volume dropped to $74 billion from the $153 billion in 2017 The top countries purchasing those 74,000 homes were: China (12%), Canada (12%), Mexico (9%), India (6%), Brazil (3%), Germany (2%), and France (2%).
The total % of Foreign Buyers has been reduced from 6% of total home buyers to 3% of total home buyers.
